Kya Law’s childhood was marked by hardship. His family struggled financially, and for many years he was unable to attend school. While other children studied, he stayed home doing household work, watching opportunity pass him by. At one point, he even studied under someone else’s name just to sit in class, knowing he was not officially allowed to take exams.

Everything changed when he arrived at VOHM Grace House at the age of 12. For the first time, he had a safe place to live, regular meals, and people who truly cared about his future. Through advocacy and support, he was officially enrolled in school, opening doors that once seemed permanently closed.

More importantly, at VOHM Grace House he heard the Gospel and accepted Jesus Christ as his Savior and Lord. As he grew academically, he also grew spiritually—learning leadership, kindness, and gratitude.

After completing his education, Kya Law made a remarkable decision: he returned to his home village—not simply to live, but to serve. Today, he encourages others mentally, socially, emotionally, and spiritually. He supports families, counsels those who are discouraged, and helps point his community toward hope in Christ.

His story is a reminder that hardship does not define a future.
