Reaching The Lost
Loving The Abandoned
Vessel of Honour Ministries was birthed in the heart of Evangelist Stephen McKay years prior to receiving our 501(c)3 status as a non profit organization. Living deep within the jungles of Papua New Guinea at 19 years of age, he was eternally impacted by the desperate need of people all around the earth for both the Gospel of Christ, and the ethics that flow from it, producing an atmosphere where love and grace abounds.

In 2012, after globe trotting to countless countries, he established VOHM as a non profit organization, and began building a team of people with the same passion and goals. Our team now stretches across the earth, from South East Asia where our orphanage operations are based, to the heart of Africa, where most of our city wide evangelistic outreaches take place.

Our heart is two fold, reaching the unreached with the Gospel, and committing ourselves to the care and nourishment of orphaned children. With this as our goal and the Gospel as our guide, we will not rest until we fulfill our portion of the great commission!

Our Mission
To strategically plan and host city wide meetings in remote parts of the world, allowing the Gospel to be heard far and wide; and to establish orphanages where abandoned children can find love and refuge.
We believe that through the sacrifice of many, gathered together and unified under one vision, the world will feel the full impact of the Gospel!

Our Vision
Our vision is two fold: One - that the unreached people groups of the earth would hear the Gospel; and Two - that orphaned and abandoned children would be loved and cared for.

Stephen McKay
President / Founder
The Gospel has always been a major part of Stephen's life. From the early years growing up in northern Alberta, Canada, to the moment he first stepped foot on foreign soil at 19 as a missionary, the trajectory of his life seemed to always point towards the unreached places of the earth. Stephen founded VOHM in January 2010, with the purpose of touching the unreached with the gospel and establishing orphanages. He resides in East Tennessee with his wife, Jessica, and their three sons, Bentley, Grant and Ezekiel.

Jessica McKay
Director of Events & Ecommerce
Jessica is the wife of Stephen McKay. They have three little boys, Bentley, Grant and Ezekiel. She homeschools their children to enable the family to stay together as they minister around the world. She supports her husband, and contributes to the ministry in whatever capactiy she is needed.

Ben Okello
President - VOHM Kenya / International Crusade Director - VOHM Africa
Ben's journey from childhood into ministry is quite the testimony of God's grace. After the passing of his parents, he lived for several years on the streets of Homa Bay without direction or purpose. God miraculously pulled him from the gutter, at the age of 17, and called him into the ministry. Over the years, he has traveled to countless countries in Africa and around the world with the Gospel. He has worked for organizations such as Christ For All Nations, Global Focus, and Good News To All People. Ben is currently the President of VOHM Kenya and the International Crusade Director for all VOHM Africa events. He is also the founder and Pastor of M.O.S.A. Church in Homa Bay where he lives and resides with his wife, Christine, and their children.

Ko Aung
President - VOHM Myanmar
The Gospel and church planting have always been a major part of Ko Aung's life. He became a believer from Buddhist religion and was the first Christian in his family tree. After two years of his conversion, he brought his father, mother, brother, and sisters to Christ. He has now planted 28 churches in animists villages. Ko Aung started the VOHM Orphanage Center in Myanmar in November 2010. His strong purpose is sharing the gospel to all nations and taking care of the many orphans in Myanmar.
