Rev. Stephen R McKay is a native of the province of Newfoundland, an island just off the east coast of Canada. When he was young his family moved from Newfoundland to Fort McMurray, a city in the western province of Alberta. All of his life he was raised in the Pentecostal Assembly there in Fort McMurray, and having received the baptism of the Holy Ghost at the age of 12, he knew God had something extraordinary in store for his life. At 16 years old, his family traveled to Beaumont Texas to attend Rev B.H. Clendennen’s annual ministers convention, and it was there that God really began to get ahold of his heart towards ministry. Two full years later he attended Pastor Clendennen’s School of Christ in 2004, and it was there that God specified his calling, and that was to the mission field. At 19 he embarked upon a journey that would start in the South Pacific, and through the years take him around the world.
After living on the island nation of Papua New Guinea for three years, in 2008 he made his way to the United States to marry his Tennessee bride, and continue in full time ministry. From that time till this, his life and the life of his family has been that of one purpose, and that is to preach the Gospel to every creature. Stephen now ministers primarily in Africa to the nations with unreached people groups. He hosts evangelistic crusades in the open air, and pastors conferences in local communities to both reach the lost and equip the local church. When he is not overseas, he ministers in the US and Canada.
He and his wife Jessica are blessed to have three beautiful boys, Bentley, Grant and Ezekiel. They make their home in the hills of east Tennessee, and base their entire ministry from there.
